What does it mean to exclusively license a video?
Exclusively licensing your video means that STEMZ has the sole right to manage, distribute, protect, and monetize it under the terms of the agreement. You still fully own your content. This agreement simply gives us the authority to act on your behalf and maximize the video's impact.
Will I be paid for my video?
We do not pay upfront fees for licensing. However, there are two ways you might earn money. First, if we successfully sell your video to a third party like a media outlet or TV show, we share the profits with you. Second, if someone used your video without permission and we are able to collect a retroactive licensing fee, we share that with you as well.
We send out tens of thousands of dollars to creators every month, but like any licensing company, we cannot guarantee payment for every video. What we can guarantee is that we’ll do everything we can to give your video the best chance at success.
When and where will my video be posted?
Once your video is fully cleared, it will first be posted on one of STEMZ’s owned social channels. That’s just the beginning. If the clip performs well and meets our quality standards, it may continue to receive distribution through partner pages, media outlets, and platform placements—sometimes for months or even years. Every video is different, so patience is key. Our goal is to give your clip the best chance at long-term reach, not just a one-time post.
Someone wants to post the video I licensed with STEMZ. What do I say?
Tell them the video is licensed with BVIRAL and direct them to contact licensing@stemz.co. We handle all licensing requests and can ensure proper use while helping you earn from any potential deals.
A page posted my video that I licensed with STEMZ. What should I do?
Email our rights team at support@stemz.co. We’ll investigate whether the page had permission. If not, we’ll attempt to collect a retroactive licensing fee and share any revenue with you based on our agreement.
